England Captain Reprimanded, Slapped With Suspended Fine For 'Blackface' Photo Ahead Of T20 World Cup

<p>Heather Knight, England captain, has been reprimanded and slapped with a &pound;1,000 suspedned fine for 12-year-old post on social media. In the picture which had surfaced online, Knight was seen wearing a "blackface" at a sports-themed fancy dress party. Knight is all set to lead England in the ICC Women's <a title="T20 World Cup" href="https://ift.tt/LPwk21c" data-type="interlinkingkeywords">T20 World Cup</a> 2024 set to get underway on October 3.</p> <p>The England skipper has apologised sincerely saying that she's "truly sorry" for her past actions after the Cricket Discipline Commission adjudicator Tim O'Gorman deemed the conduct "racist and discrimanatory."</p> <p>Knight has issued a public statement, saying that she was not educated about the consequences of her actions.</p> <p>"Back then, I simply was not as educated as to the implications and consequences of my actions as I have become since.
